Facial balancing is an approach, not a single treatment. Instead of treating one line or one lip on its own, Rocio looks at the face as a whole — how the forehead, brows, cheeks, nose, lips, chin and jawline sit in relation to each other, in proportion and in profile — and uses small, deliberate amounts of filler and Botox only where they bring those features into harmony. The aim is that nobody can tell what was done. They only notice that you look rested, and like yourself.

What facial balancing is

Every face has its own proportions, and most of what reads as “tired” or “heavy” comes from how features relate to each other, not from any one of them. A chin that sits a little behind the lips makes the lips look larger than they are; cheeks that have lost volume make the folds below them deeper; a brow that has dropped makes the eyes look smaller. Facial balancing starts by finding those relationships, and treats the cause rather than the symptom.

What it is not

It is not a set menu, not “full-face filler”, and not an attempt to make every face symmetrical or to match a template. Rocio treats what will make a visible difference to the whole and leaves alone what is already working. Often that means less product than people expect, placed somewhere they had not thought about.

How Rocio assesses a face

The consultation is the treatment plan. Rocio looks at your face from the front and in profile, at rest and while you talk and smile: the thirds of the face, the line from nose to chin, how the lips sit against the teeth, where the cheek projects, and how the muscles move. She then explains what she sees, what she would change and in what order, and what she would not touch.

What she uses

Hyaluronic-acid fillers (Versa, RHA and Evolysse), Radiesse, a calcium-based filler used for structure, and Botox. Which product goes where depends on the job: softer gels for the lips, firmer ones for the chin and jawline, Botox where a muscle is pulling a feature out of place. Hyaluronidase, the enzyme that dissolves hyaluronic-acid filler, is kept at the studio.

What a plan looks like

Balancing is usually staged over two or three visits rather than done in one, so each change can settle and be judged before the next. Filler results are visible right away and settle over about two weeks; Rocio sees you again at two weeks to check them. Botox takes up to two weeks to show fully.

Who it suits

Anyone who feels something about their face is “off” but cannot say what, who wants to look like a rested version of themselves rather than a different person, and who is happy to build a result over time. It suits a first-timer as well as someone who has had filler before and wants it to look less obvious.

Common questions

Is facial balancing one appointment or several?

Usually two or three, a few weeks apart. Rocio prefers to make one change, let it settle, and judge the next against it, rather than do everything at once.

Will I look different?

You should look like yourself on a good day. The changes are small and placed where they affect how the whole face reads, so people tend to notice that you look well rather than that something was done.

Is it permanent?

No. Hyaluronic-acid filler is absorbed over months to a year or more, depending on the area and product; Radiesse lasts about a year or more; Botox three to four months. Results are maintained with occasional, smaller top-ups.

Can it be reversed?

Hyaluronic-acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, which Rocio keeps at the studio. Radiesse and Botox cannot be dissolved: Botox simply wears off, and Radiesse is placed conservatively for that reason.

Does it hurt?

Most people describe a quick pinch and some pressure. A topical numbing cream is applied first, and the fillers contain lidocaine, a local anaesthetic.

How do I start?

Book a consultation. Rocio looks at your face with you, explains what she sees, and proposes a plan and an order. Nothing is injected until you have agreed to it.

This is general education, not a treatment plan. What you actually need depends on your anatomy, muscle strength, and goals — Rocio determines that with you in person.
